How do I reserve a car?

At Correct Carrental you can reserve your car online. If you prefer personal contact, you can contact us by e-mail (info@correctcarrental.com) or telephone (+5999 789 3333 / + 5999 523 3839) to reserve a car.

How do I make a reservation online?

You can search for a car trough our website:

  1. Choose the first rental day
  2. Choose the last rental day
  3. Click on search and the site shows the available cars. We have 5 classes and different cars available for each class. You immediately see the total price on the screen
  4. Select the desired class by clicking on reservation
  5. Select any options (buy off own risk (CDW), child seat) by adjusting the number
  6. Click on ‘continue’ for the overview of the rental period, selected car and costs
  7. Enter your details – fields with a * are required
  8. Agree to our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy and confirm your reservation

I made a reservation online. What happens now?

You will receive an e-mail confirming your reservation code. We will contact you by e-mail to discuss the reservation. We ask you to transfer the deposit to us to make the reservation final. You can also provide your credit card details to us.

After the reservation is final, we will send you a confirmation / reservation form on which you can enter your details. This way, everything is clearly recorded for you and for us.

When you pick up your rental car you pay the rent rate.

 

Why do I pay the deposit in advance?

To guarantee your reservation, we ask you to transfer the deposit to our Dutch or local bank account. Making a pre-authorization on your credit card is also possible. This way you are assured of a car and you can drive immediately when you are in Curaçao, and we are sure that you will pick up the car.

How do I get my deposit back?

After returning the car, we refund the deposit directly to your account via our ‘bankapp’ or the pre-authorization of your credit card is canceled.

Is it possible to cancel my reservation?

Most people reserve a rental car when the trip is booked. It is therefore not self-evident to cancel. Of course, unforeseen circumstances can occur, such as illness or worse. Of course we are mild and we only charge administration costs of € 19.50.

How do I pay the rent of my rental car?

You can do this on the method you want when you pick up your car: debit card, cash, credit card or transfer to our bank account.

Are there any hidden costs if I rent a car at Correct Carrental?

No! We are transparent from the beginning about our services, options and costs. At Correct Carrental all prices are inclusive. You pay the costs which you receive by mail when you pick up the car. We do not like surprises and together with you we fill out a damageform for which you and we will sign.

What happens if the category I reserved is not available?

That is simple! Then you will receive an ‘upgrade’. After all, you have reserved a car and want to drive as fast as possible.

Do you have the possibility to rent a child seat?

For € 1.75 / Naf 3.50 per day you can rent a child seat with a maximum of € 25.00 / Naf 50.00.

Do you have the possibility to waive the right to collect a high deductible in case of an accident(CDW)?

Yes! For € 7.00 per day you get a CDW. If you wish, you can indicate this when booking with the rental options. It will save you from a serious headache should you get into an accident while driving.

What are the opening times of Correct Carrental?

You can get a car or contact us from Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00. On Saturday from 12.00 to 13.00 and from 17.00 to 18.00.

On Sundays we are closed, but exceptions apply. When possible we leave your car in front of our office.

How nice! You pick us up! Is the pickup service always available?

Our pickup service is available on weekdays from 8 am to 4 pm. If you arrive later, then we can arrange a (cheaper) taxi for you and. We will put the car in front of our office for you. We will do the settlement the next day.

Our pick-up service is available on Saturdays from noon to 1 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

On Sundays we are closed, but exceptions apply. When possible we leave your car in front of our office.

What should I do if there is a problem with the car?

Our cars are well maintained by our own mechanics, but in case of a problem, we can be reached by telephone (+5999 523 3839) until 11 o’clock in the evening and after that our roadside assistance (+5999 560 1571) will take over from us.

What kind of petrol should I fuel?

On Curaçao we only have super petrol. That is the yellow handle on the pump. Our cars only run on petrol. Never refuel diesel!

What should I do if I have a flat tire?

Normally you have to arrange this yourself. So change the the wheel, have it fixed and let them put the original band underneath. If you do not want to do this yourself, it is possible to call the roadside assistance (+5999 560 1571) and they will exchange the band for you for a fee.

I don't like thinking about it, but what action should I take in case of an accident?

In any case, stay calm! First check if you and your fellow passengers are okay. Then, in all cases, leave the car at the scene of the accident. So do not move it! Then call Forensys at 199. Only they or the police are authorised to give permission to remove the car. Of course you also call us (+5999 523 3839) to arrange further processing.

What should I do if I have left the keys in the car and have locked the doors?

Our roadside assistance will help you for Naf 50.00. You call them on +5999 560 1571 and they quickly open the door for you.

Why should I rent a car at Correct Carrental?

Are the cars of Correct Carrental all-risk assured?

No, you have a own risk of $ 375.00. We offer you the possibility to Colisson Damage Waiver. For € 7.00 per day extra the rental car is insured all-risk (CDW).

Can I pick up my rental car at Hato airport?

Unfortunately, car rental companies that are not located at the airport are not allowed to rent cars from the airport. We can pick you up and then carry out the handling at our office. The average waiting time after your departure with your suitcases is 15 to 20 minutes.

Do you have any tips for me?

Oh yes! It is obvious to recommend that you rent a car with us at Correct Carrental, but we really believe in it. Our company philosophy is aimed at making you feel comfortable with a nice car. The island is already so nice and with a correct car only more fun. Enjoy!
